Brother Tan is an elderly man and a young Christian who was just baptized about three years ago. He's currently undergoing treatment in the hospital for a severe case of psoriasis. He was warded on the 5th of September.

Terrible News for the New Year
In January 2004, while everybody was making New Year resolutions, I received some upsetting news from my gynecologist. He told me that the results of my last physical showed the presence of abnormal cells in my uterus, and the worst case scenario pointed to the possibility of uterine cancer.
When I was young, my father often took me to Tamkang Junior High to play tennis in Taiwan. Since we played tennis there, my father would attend the church services at that school. (Tamkang/Tamsui Junior High School was established in 1925 by a Canadian missionary, Rev. George Leslie Mackay).
