My doctors as well as my family thought that I maybe already passed away because my heart and my breathing stopped. Through the mighty power of God, I actually survived and eventually healed of this disease. Thank God, I didn’t think I would be here today. I did not realize that the grace of God is so great that I am able to testify for him today.

Hallelujah, in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ I testify about an experience I had during prayer on December 26, 1999, in Toronto Church, Canada. During this prayer I was thinking about my father, who was in Taiwan working hard to support my family here in Canada.

我 30歲那年在《青年團契》寫了一篇〈30歲感言〉，當時以為30歲很老了，如今想來好笑，30歲是多麼年輕呀！42歲那年，豐美在青契策劃一個專輯「行過 40」，我又寫了一篇〈我的信仰我的路〉作為我人生旅程的回顧與檢討。其實，我從小就體弱多病，經常被抬進醫院、奄奄一息，心裏也曾懷疑「我能活到長大嗎？」所幸神保佑我，平安活到40歲已經是很大的恩典了。

哈利路亞，奉主耶穌聖名做見證：

1980年元月，「司機先生，衣櫃、爐具……通通搬好了，再檢查一下，車後的物品，……看看是否綁緊了……，若一切OK，就可以上路了。」此時家鄉的住處，已空無一物。心想從學校畢業，接著工作，皆未曾長期離開家裏，但這次卻截然不同，是自己「押」車子，一路駛往異鄉。

「我吃了東西常想吐，身體也常覺不舒服。」到了4月，吳忠政更強烈意識到自己快死了。所以就向家人說：「我可能快死了，你們以後要照顧自己，不能再靠我了。」太太斥責他胡說八道。 但吳忠政心裏卻很清楚。所以過了幾天，就打電話給房地產公司，希望將房子脫售，因為：「我太太不會處理房地產的事，希望經由我的處理，可以給他們省麻煩，且可不用擔心日後的生活。另外也可完成我長久以來的心願──捐一筆錢給教會。」
